I guess I should talk a little about the concept of "sexy-nerdy". Sexy-nerdy is harder to pull off than most women think (in my opinion it is nigh impossible for a guy to pull it off. As far as I know, I am the only one to do it successfully). A girl who is naturally sexy rarely can play a good nerd. There are no supermodel nerds, in spite of what they might say about being a nerd. A hot girl who tells you she is a nerd is not a nerd. I think she is just trying to show she has some kind of personality and something to do besides standing around looking hot, but from what I have seen, she doesn't.
Who do I consider sexy-nerdy? Felicia Day, for sure. She is absolutely hot and nerdy. Dr. Horrible would be enough, but check her out in the Guild, which she created. Of course, what sells her as the greatest sexy-nerdy celebrity out there is not the roles she plays on screen but her personal passion for WOW and other nerd activities. If I were to pick the next girl who qualified as sexy-nerdy, it would have to be Sarah Jessica Parker back in her Square Pegs days. She turned into a super star who (theoretically) likes to sleep with lots of guys, but even at her most popular you can still see a trace of nerd in her.
I got into an argument with a friend of mine once about whether Kate Beckinsale is sexy-nerdy or not. I absolutely agree she is sexy, but I dispute her nerd-dom. She stars in nerd movies, but that does not get you a free pass into being a nerd. Mel Gibson was in the Road Warrior and will never be considered a nerd (just a raving maniac). If being in a nerd movie makes the actor a nerd than all the comic book actors are nerds. Anyway, I don't think Kate reads as a nerd. She might be, though. I'm wrong about these sorts of things occasionally.
Jewel Staite definitely qualifies. I know nothing of her interests, but she just looks very nerdy. If she isn't a nerd I will be very, bitterly disappointed. In fact, do me a favor and no one tell me anything about her. I don't need my fantasies destroyed.
I just heard that Mila Kunis, the voice of Meg from Family Guy, is a huge WOW fan. She just shot up my list. She has been in a ton of nerd culture movies. She is in the Book of Eli which is sitting on my TV waiting to be watched. My best friend loved it and told me I have to see it.
There are plenty of other sexy nerd girls out there. This is just my main list.
