Bon Scott was an influential rock star and singer-songwriter in the 1970s, known as the lead singer of the Australian rock band AC/DC. Born Ronald Belford Scott in Scotland in 1946, he was raised in Australia and attended Fremantle Technical School. After playing in several local bands, Scott joined AC/DC in 1974 and became the group's lead vocalist, penning such memorable classics as "Highway to Hell" and "Back in Black". As the frontman for AC/DC, Scott toured the world and achieved worldwide fame and adulation.
