Cuphead
Cuphead is of course an indie run and gun video game done is the retro 30's cartoon style (think original Popeye) starring a guy with a cup for a head (along with his brother Mugman, a man with a more muggish looking cup for a head). Bright colors, big shoes, giant white gloves, and live inanimate objects are the course of the day.
Of course all that does not in the least big take away from the fact that Cuphead is both super fun and super hard. It is not a game for the casual gamer; it is a super challenging. All this can be illustrated in this excellent review by Zero Punctuation. The subtitle for this game is "Don't Deal With the Devil" and that is because apparently Cuphead owes the Devil a lot of scratch (see what I did there?) and has to run from boss to boss to collect other monies owed to the cartoon Prince of Darkness.
