Description
This Old School design comes from Twister, the Hasbro game that has been putting people on the floor in awkward positions since 1966. Twister was released in 1966 by Milton Bradley, now part of Hasbro, and it is one of the few games whose board is the floor. Players spin for a colour and a limb and put that hand or foot on a dot, and the game ends when somebody collapses. The design has barely changed in sixty years. Four rows of coloured dots, a spinner divided into quarters, and no equipment beyond the people playing it, which is why the mat itself is instantly readable as a graphic.
Eva Gabor played it with Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show in May 1966, and the game sold out almost immediately afterwards. The spinner has never needed batteries, an app or an update in sixty years. This one is printed on a white unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 3XL. A good pick for anyone who has ended a party face down on a plastic mat.
