Description
This Laura Palmer design comes from Twin Peaks, the show that asked who killed Laura Palmer and then spent two seasons proving that was never really the question. Twin Peaks premiered on ABC in April 1990, created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, and for a few months it was the most talked-about show in America. A homecoming queen washes up on a riverbank wrapped in plastic, an FBI agent arrives, and the town turns out to be considerably stranger than the crime. Its influence is hard to overstate. The idea that a prime-time drama could be authored, strange and serialised runs straight from here through The X-Files and everything after it.
Damn fine coffee and cherry pie became the shorthand for the entire show, largely because Cooper is so completely, unironically happy about both. ABC pressured the creators to reveal the killer in season two. Both Lynch and Frost considered it a mistake, and the ratings collapse that followed is the standard example of a network solving the wrong problem. This one is printed on a white unisex long sleeve t-shirt in sizes S through 3XL. Sizes run deep, with plus sizes and Tall fits on the core tee.
