This Yer So Bad design comes from Tom Petty, who spent forty years writing songs that sound like they already existed and just needed someone to find them. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers formed in Gainesville, Florida in 1976 and never really went out of fashion. The band stayed largely intact for four decades, which is close to unheard of.
