The Three Stooges Bottoms Up Crewneck Sweatshirt

This Bottoms Up design comes from The Three Stooges, the slapstick act that ran for more than twenty years of shorts and never once ran out of ways to hit each other. Their revival came from television. When Columbia sold the shorts to TV in 1958 they found an entirely new audience of children, and the act became more famous in reruns than it had ever been in cinemas. Curly suffered a stroke in 1946 and was replaced by a third Howard brother, Shemp, who had actually been in the act first. Later shorts used Joe Besser and Joe DeRita, but the Moe, Larry and Curly line-up is the one that endures.

The act made 190 shorts for Columbia between 1934 and 1959, the longest-running series of comedy shorts in Hollywood history. Curly Howard suffered a stroke in 1946 during filming and was replaced by his older brother Shemp, who had been part of the act before Curly joined.
