The Goonies Sloth Loves Chunk T-Shirt

This Sloth Loves Chunk design comes from The Goonies, the 1985 film in which a group of kids from Astoria, Oregon go looking for pirate treasure to stop the bank taking their houses. Sloth, played by John Matuszak under heavy prosthetics, was meant to be frightening and became the emotional centre of the film instead. Matuszak had been a professional footballer, and the makeup took hours every day. It was shot largely in Astoria, Oregon, and the town has never stopped trading on it. The house used for the Walsh family is still a landmark, and the film is why a lot of people can place Astoria on a map at all.

Sloth was played by John Matuszak, a former professional American footballer, under prosthetics that took several hours to apply each day. Steven Spielberg wrote the story and Chris Columbus the screenplay, four years before Columbus went on to direct Home Alone. This one is printed on a black unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 5XL.
