Description
This Portrait design comes from Syd Barrett, the founder of Pink Floyd who named the band, wrote most of its first album, and was gone from it within two years. He left Pink Floyd in 1968 and made two solo records in 1970, The Madcap Laughs and Barrett, then withdrew from music entirely and spent the rest of his life out of public view in Cambridge.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond is about him — and during the Wish You Were Here sessions in 1975 Barrett reportedly walked into the studio unannounced, so changed in appearance that the band did not recognise him. This one is printed on a black unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 4XL. A solid pick for Floyd obsessives and anyone who prefers the first album.
