Description
This Old Glory Shield design comes from Superman, the character who invented the superhero in 1938 and has never really stopped being the argument about what one should be. Superman first appeared in Action Comics #1 in 1938, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, two teenagers from Cleveland who sold the character outright for 130 dollars. Doomsday killed him in 1992 and the issue sold in the millions. He was back inside a year, which is the shape most comic deaths have taken since.
Superman debuted in Action Comics #1 in 1938. The S-shield is the crest of the House of El and means hope. This one is printed on a black youth t-shirt in sizes Youth S through Toddler 3T.
