Superman Flight of Steel Royal Crewneck Sweatshirt

This Flight of Steel Royal design comes from Superman, the character who invented the superhero in 1938 and has never really stopped being the argument about what one should be. The S is not an S. Post-Crisis continuity makes it the crest of the House of El, a Kryptonian symbol meaning hope. He could not fly at first. The early stories had him leap an eighth of a mile, which is where 'able to leap tall buildings in a single bound' comes from; flight arrived later, largely because the animators found leaping awkward to draw.

Kryptonite was created for the radio serial before it reached the comics. Siegel and Shuster sold the character for 130 dollars. This one is printed on a royal unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 3XL.
