Description
This Vintage Shield Collage Charcoal design comes from Superman, the character who invented the superhero in 1938 and has never really stopped being the argument about what one should be. Kryptonite was invented for the radio serial, not the comics, and one story has it that the writers needed a way to give the actor a holiday. He could not fly at first. The early stories had him leap an eighth of a mile, which is where 'able to leap tall buildings in a single bound' comes from; flight arrived later, largely because the animators found leaping awkward to draw.
In the earliest stories Superman leapt rather than flew. Siegel and Shuster sold the character for 130 dollars. This one is printed on a charcoal unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 3XL.
