This Scotty All She's Got Power design comes from Star Trek: The Original Series, the 1966 show NBC cancelled after three seasons and syndication turned into a religion. The first pilot, The Cage, was rejected for being too cerebral and starred Jeffrey Hunter as Captain Pike. NBC ordered a second pilot, which almost never happens, and got Kirk instead. The budget was tight enough that the transporter exists because the production could not afford to land a starship every week. A shimmering effect made from aluminium powder was cheaper than a landing sequence.

Tribbles were built in a weekend from fake fur and simple motors, and the episode was written by David Gerrold when he was 23. NASA named its first space shuttle Enterprise after a write-in campaign by fans. This one is printed on a black unisex tank top in sizes S through 2XL.
