This Cats They Purr design comes from Star Trek Cats, Jenny Parks' illustrated take on the Original Series crew, restaged with cats doing all of it in uniform. The joke works because the poses are accurate. The cat Kirk fights the Gorn in the same stance, on the same rocks, from Arena. These sell far better than their novelty suggests, which is the usual story with well-drawn crossover art.

The cat-versus-Gorn design restages the fight from the episode Arena, stardate 3045.6. Tribbles first appear in The Trouble with Tribbles, and turn up repeatedly in the cat designs. This one is printed on a charcoal unisex tank top in sizes S through 2XL.
