Description
This The Gamesters of Triskelion design comes from Star Trek: The Original Series, the 1966 show NBC cancelled after three seasons and syndication turned into a religion. Leonard Nimoy adapted the Vulcan salute from a Jewish priestly blessing he had seen as a child in synagogue. He improvised it on set because the script simply said the Vulcans greet each other. The budget was tight enough that the transporter exists because the production could not afford to land a starship every week. A shimmering effect made from aluminium powder was cheaper than a landing sequence.
Tribbles were built in a weekend from fake fur and simple motors, and the episode was written by David Gerrold when he was 23. NASA named its first space shuttle Enterprise after a write-in campaign by fans. This one is printed on a charcoal unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 3XL. Grab it for yourself or for the friend who still argues about the Kobayashi Maru.
