This Wade Through Dicks design comes from South Park, the Comedy Central series that has been made out of construction paper, or something that looks like it, since 1997 and shows no sign of stopping. Four fourth-graders in a Colorado mountain town remain the centre of it: Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny. The supporting bench, Butters, Randy, Towelie, Mr. Garrison, Mr. Mackey, has grown to the point where entire seasons belong to them instead.

Towelie was written as a deliberately terrible character, a talking towel who offers to get you high, and the show says so out loud within his own episodes. He became genuinely popular anyway.
