Description
This 3 and Up design comes from Play-Doh, the squishy yellow can of primary-coloured compound that started life as a wallpaper cleaner and ended up in the National Toy Hall of Fame. The relaunch is usually credited to a nursery school teacher, Kay Zufall, who had her class modelling with the cleaning compound and told her brother-in-law at Kutol that he was selling the wrong product to the wrong people. She is also credited with the name.
It began as wallpaper cleaner. Kutol sold it to scrub coal soot off walls, and when homes switched to gas and oil heating the product had no market left — which is the only reason it became a toy. This one is printed on a light blue unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 2XL. Officially licensed and printed on heavyweight cotton, built to outlast the craft table.
