Platoon Elias Long Sleeve T-Shirt

This Elias design comes from Platoon, Oliver Stone's 1986 Vietnam film — written out of his own service and built around a squad at war with itself as much as with anyone else. The film sets two sergeants against each other — Barnes and Elias — and puts a new arrival between them. The war is the setting; the argument about what the war permits is the actual story.

The cast went through a two-week jungle training course before shooting, run by Dale Dye, a retired Marine captain who went on to do the same for Born on the Fourth of July and Saving Private Ryan.
