Ouija Spirit Board Crewneck Sweatshirt

This Spirit Board design comes from Ouija, the mystifying oracle that started life as a Victorian parlour game and has been unsettling people ever since. Talking boards came out of the American spiritualism boom of the late 1800s, and the Kennard Novelty Company patented this one in 1891. For its first eighty years it was sold as a parlour amusement — a curiosity you brought out at parties, not something anyone was frightened of.

Nobody agrees where the name came from. The popular story is that it merges the French and German words for yes, but the original company said the board itself spelled OUIJA out and claimed it meant good luck. This one is printed on a black unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 3XL. Sizes run deep, with plus sizes and Tall fits on the core tee.
