This Cursive Logo design comes from Oldsmobile, America's oldest car brand — founded in 1897, gone in 2004, and responsible for a great deal of what the muscle car era became. Oldsmobile spent its last decades as GM's engineering brand, trying things before the rest of the group did, and the badges from each era look completely unlike one another — the crest, the rocket and the cursive script are three different companies visually.

When Oldsmobile closed in 2004 it had been building cars for 107 years, longer than any other American brand, and the final Alero rolled off the line signed by the workers who built it.
