This You Have My Sword design comes from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, the three films that turned Tolkien's Middle-earth into one of the biggest franchises in movie history. Sean Astin delivers the potatoes speech to Gollum in The Two Towers, and Billy Boyd as Pippin gets the second breakfast joke in Fellowship. Both lines became merchandise almost as soon as the films were out. Peter Jackson shot all three films back to back in New Zealand, a single production of roughly 274 shooting days, and released them a year apart: The Fellowship of the Ring in 2001, The Two Towers in 2002 and The Return of the King in 2003.

Howard Shore won Oscars for scoring both The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King. The Return of the King won all eleven Oscars it was nominated for, tying Ben-Hur and Titanic.
