Lord of the Rings Gondor Crewneck Sweatshirt

This Gondor design comes from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, the three films that turned Tolkien's Middle-earth into one of the biggest franchises in movie history. The Return of the King won all eleven Academy Awards it was nominated for, including Best Picture, tying the record held by Ben-Hur and Titanic. Across the trilogy the films earned seventeen Oscars. Andy Serkis played Gollum through performance capture, working on set with the actors and then again on a capture stage, and the character changed how visual effects studios approached digital performances.

Howard Shore won Oscars for scoring both The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King. All three films were shot back to back in New Zealand in one long production.
