Lord of the Rings Barad-dur Crewneck Sweatshirt

This Barad-dur design comes from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, the three films that turned Tolkien's Middle-earth into one of the biggest franchises in movie history. The Return of the King won all eleven Academy Awards it was nominated for, including Best Picture, tying the record held by Ben-Hur and Titanic. Across the trilogy the films earned seventeen Oscars. Viggo Mortensen was cast as Aragorn after filming had already started, replacing Stuart Townsend. He learned his swordwork on the fly and became so attached to the role that he kept his sword and horse.
