Dungeons & Dragons Bard Long Sleeve T-Shirt

This Bard design comes from Dungeons & Dragons, the tabletop roleplaying game that invented the genre. It replaced the wargame convention of commanding an army with controlling a single character who persists and improves between sessions. Dungeons & Dragons was published in 1974 by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, and grew out of the Chainmail miniatures wargame.
