Dubble Bubble Hot Chew Youth Hoodie

This Hot Chew design comes from Dubble Bubble, the gum that got its pink colour because it was the only food dye the factory had on hand. The wrapper carried a small comic, the Fleer Funnies, starring a character called Pud, and for decades that comic was the only thing many children read with their sweets. Diemer taught salesmen to blow bubbles so they could demonstrate the product, because nobody had seen gum behave that way before. He never took a patent and said he was satisfied with having done it.

Bubble gum is pink because pink was the only dye in the factory. Dubble Bubble was invented in 1928 by an accountant, Walter Diemer. This one is printed on a athletic heather youth hoodie in sizes Youth S through Youth XL.
