Christmas Santa Wreath T-Shirt

This Santa Wreath design is for Christmas, the holiday that absorbed every custom it ever met and kept going. Much of the modern Santa was assembled by writers and illustrators rather than tradition — the 1823 poem A Visit from St Nicholas gave him the sleigh, the reindeer and the chimney. Rudolph was written in 1939 as a giveaway booklet for the Montgomery Ward department store, which is why the ninth reindeer is younger than the other eight by more than a century.
