Betty Boop S.S. Vintage Womens T-Shirt

This S.S. Vintage design comes from Betty Boop, the Jazz Age cartoon star who has outlived nearly every character she shared a screen with. The singer Helen Kane sued over the character in 1932, claiming it copied her boop-oop-a-doop delivery. She lost in 1934 after the defence produced evidence that the scat style predated her, including performances by Baby Esther Jones. Betty Boop was created at Max Fleischer's studio and first appeared on 9 August 1930 in the short Dizzy Dishes, animated by Grim Natwick.

Cab Calloway was rotoscoped into several of the cartoons. Betty Boop debuted in 1930 in the short Dizzy Dishes. This one is printed on a light blue womens t-shirt in sizes S through 2XL.
