Betty Boop Hula Boop Pullover Hoodie

This Hula Boop design comes from Betty Boop, the Jazz Age cartoon star who has outlived nearly every character she shared a screen with. The Hays Code caught up with the series in 1934 and the studio was made to lengthen her hemline and tone the shorts down; fans have argued ever since that it took the life out of them. Mae Questel voiced the character for most of the run, and the theatrical series ended in 1939 after more than a hundred shorts.

She was originally drawn as a dog, and her ears became her hoop earrings. Cab Calloway was rotoscoped into several of the cartoons. This one is printed on a black unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 4XL.
