Betty Boop Cute as Can Be Creeper

This Cute as Can Be design comes from Betty Boop, the Jazz Age cartoon star who has outlived nearly every character she shared a screen with. Max Fleischer patented the rotoscope in 1915, and the studio used it to put live performance into animation decades before anyone called it motion capture. Cab Calloway performed for several shorts and was rotoscoped into them, so the ghost and the walrus in Minnie the Moocher and Snow-White move with his actual dance steps.

She was originally drawn as a dog, and her ears became her hoop earrings. Cab Calloway was rotoscoped into several of the cartoons. This one is printed on a red youth t-shirt in sizes Infant 6M through Infant 24M.
