This Original Poster design comes from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Wes Craven's 1984 film about a killer who works inside your dreams, where falling asleep is the one thing you cannot afford to do. New Line Cinema was a small distributor when it gambled on Elm Street in 1984. The film made back many times its budget, spawned a franchise, and earned the studio a nickname it never shook: The House That Freddy Built.
