Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is an American science fiction comedy film starring the two slacker friends Ted Logan and Bill Preston. The story revolves around the two dim-witted high school students Bill and Ted who are struggling to finish their history paper. But with the help of a time machine, they were able to pass their History Class with flying colors through the help of a man from the future named Rufus. So Bill and Ted were able to gather historical figures that they needed for their report. One of the characters in the movie, Ted Logan, is played by no less than Keanu Reeves.
But did you know that Bill wanted to play Ted and Ted wanted to play the character of Bill? Keanu Reeves auditioned for the role of Bill Preston, and Alex Winter (who plays Bill) auditioned for Ted Logan. When Reeves received a call that he had been cast, he initially thought that he got the role of Bill Preston. Later on, they were informed that they are switching roles.
