Star Wars Rogue One
Directed by Gareth Edwards, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story follows a ragtag group of rebels on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. Taking place before the events of the original Star Wars film, A New Hope, the film highlights the Rebel Alliance’s struggle for survival against the crippling power of the Empire. Played by Felicity Jones, the defiant leading lady Jyn Erso works closely with Captain Cassian Andor, an Alliance Intelligence officer against the Empire. Martial arts legend, Donnie Yen, also joins the cast as the blind warrior monk, Chirrut Imwe, who staunchly believes in the Force. Joined by the gun-touting Baze Malbus, an outspoken droid called K-2SO (KAY-TUESSO) and pilot Bodhi Rook, they form the rebel squad under the codename “Rogue One”. The film also features the great Forest Whitaker who brings the guerrilla combat master, Saw Gerrera, to life. Meanwhile, Director of Advanced Weapons Research for the Imperial military, Orson Krennic, is hell bent on completing the Death Star project and the rebel’s destruction. Star Wars fans across the globe simply can’t wait until December 16, 2016 when everything will finally be revealed.
