Thirty-six years after the first movie installment of Rambo was released, Stallone’s Rambo remains to be one of the most famous and iconic movie franchises ever. Rambo, played by Sylvester Stallone, is a muscle headed United States Special Action Forces veteran who fought for his country and his life during the Vietnam War. As one of the troops of the Special Action Forces, it gave him superior and favorable military skills that he would later on use to fight enemy troops, corrupt police officers, and drug cartels. His iconic role would later on become a symbol of the evils and awesomeness of war, violence, and America.
Did you know that Rambo’s trademark wasn’t supposed to exist? In the book First Blood (on which the movie is based) Rambo never had any survival knife that would aid him with his battles. It was Stallone’s idea to add the knife for effect.
