It has been thirty six years since the first chapter of the Rambo series reached the theaters, with Sylvester Stallone playing as John Rambo, the muscle headed United States Special Action Forces veteran. The Rambo series has a total of five installments: First Blood (1982), First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988), Rambo (2008), and Rambo: Last Blood (2019). The story follows the life of John Rambo who is a special action forces veteran for the US, who fought for his country and his life during the Vietnam War. Being a Special Action Forces veteran, this traumatized him but also gave him superior and favorable military skills. He used these skills to fight enemy troops, corrupt police officers, and drug cartels.
Did you know that Rambo was named after an apple and a poet? Bet you didn’t know this but the first installment of Rambo First Blood was adapted from David Morrell’s 1972 novel of the same title. Morrell named the character Rambo, a type of apple grown by a 17th-century Swedish named Peter Gunnarson Rambo.
