The Venture Bros. Four Faces V-Neck T-Shirt

This Four Faces design comes from The Venture Bros., the Adult Swim series that started as a Jonny Quest parody and turned into a seventeen-year study of failure. Publick and Hammer wrote and voiced enormous amounts of it themselves, which is part of why the seasons came so far apart. The gaps between them became a running fandom grievance and eventually a running joke inside the show. The arch-villain, The Monarch, is obsessed with Doctor Venture for reasons that stay deliberately petty. The series treats supervillainy as a bureaucratic profession complete with a governing body, paperwork and formal arching permits.

Doctor Girlfriend speaks in a register considerably lower than anyone expects, and the show never once treats it as a punchline, which is unusual for the era it came from. Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer voice a large share of the cast between them, including The Monarch and Doctor Girlfriend, which is one reason episodes took so long to produce.
