Description
This Enter at Your Own Risk design comes from The Twilight Zone, the anthology that spent five seasons proving a half hour is plenty of time to take everything away from someone. The Twilight Zone ran on CBS from 1959 to 1964, created and hosted by Rod Serling, who wrote or co-wrote more than ninety of its episodes himself. That workload is the reason the series has such a consistent voice, and probably part of the reason Serling died at fifty. The structure is famously strict: an ordinary person, a small wrong turn, and a final reversal that recontextualises everything. The show almost never cheats, which is why the endings still land decades after most of them have been spoiled.
Rod Serling wrote or co-wrote more than ninety of the 156 episodes, an output for a single television writer that is essentially unmatched. The Mystic Seer, the napkin-holder fortune teller in Nick of Time, was an ordinary diner prop dressed with a devil head, and it has become one of the most collected objects from the series. This one is printed on a black unisex v-neck t-shirt in sizes S through 2XL. A solid pick for anyone who narrates their own bad days in the voice of Rod Serling.
