Description
This Nightmare at 20,000 Feet Gremlin design comes from The Twilight Zone, the anthology that spent five seasons proving a half hour is plenty of time to take everything away from someone. Its writers were a remarkable group. Richard Matheson and Charles Beaumont wrote many of the best remembered episodes, and George Clayton Johnson contributed several more, including the one with the fortune telling machine in the diner. The Twilight Zone ran on CBS from 1959 to 1964, created and hosted by Rod Serling, who wrote or co-wrote more than ninety of its episodes himself. That workload is the reason the series has such a consistent voice, and probably part of the reason Serling died at fifty.
To Serve Man is the one with the Kanamit book, and the punchline is a cookbook. The joke only works in English, which the episode quietly ignores. Nightmare at 20,000 Feet stars William Shatner as a man who sees a creature on the wing of his plane, and it is the reason a gremlin on an aircraft is still shorthand for nobody believing you. This one is printed on a black unisex tank top in sizes S through 2XL. Officially licensed and printed on heavyweight cotton.
