Tootsie Roll Logo T-Shirt

The recipe uses a graining process in which a portion of the previous day's batch is mixed into the next, so a thread of the original runs through every piece. Leo Hirshfield began selling Tootsie Rolls in New York in 1896 and named the candy after his daughter Clara, whose nickname was Tootsie.
