Tootsie Roll Tootsie Man T-Shirt

This Tootsie Man design comes from Tootsie Roll, the chocolate chew that has been made since 1896. Leo Hirshfield began selling Tootsie Rolls in New York in 1896 and named the candy after his daughter Clara, whose nickname was Tootsie. Tootsie Rolls were included in American military rations because they held their shape in heat far better than chocolate.

They were issued in American military rations because they survived heat. Often cited as the first individually wrapped penny candy. This one is printed on a coffee unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 3XL.
