Tootsie Roll Rollin' Old School T-Shirt

This Rollin' Old School design comes from Tootsie Roll, the chocolate chew that has been made since 1896. It is widely cited as the first penny candy to be sold individually wrapped. Captain Tootsie was a comic-strip character used to advertise the candy in the 1940s and 1950s, appearing in ads drawn by C.C. Beck, who also drew Captain Marvel.

Captain Tootsie ads were drawn by C.C. Beck, the artist behind Captain Marvel. They were issued in American military rations because they survived heat. This one is printed on a sand unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 3XL.
