This Loader design comes from Tonka, the steel toy trucks built since 1947. Hasbro acquired Tonka in 1991 as part of its purchase of Kenner Parker Toys. The trucks were made from heavy pressed steel rather than plastic, which is why so many survive in working order decades later.
