Tommy Boy Shut Up Richard T-Shirt

This Shut Up Richard design comes from Tommy Boy, the 1995 comedy in which a barely employable man has to save his late father's brake pad company from a corporate buyer. Tommy Boy was released in 1995, directed by Peter Segal and produced by Lorne Michaels, pairing Chris Farley and David Spade after their years together on Saturday Night Live. Farley plays Tommy Callahan, who has taken seven years to finish college and inherits a brake pad factory in Sandusky, Ohio. Farley and Spade improvised heavily, and several of the most quoted moments were not scripted. The fat guy in a little coat scene came out of something Farley had been doing off camera to make Spade laugh.

Callahan Auto Parts is based in Sandusky, Ohio, and its oval logo is the most reproduced piece of design from the film.
