This Logo design comes from The Tudors, the Showtime drama that played the reign of Henry VIII as a political thriller with very good clothes. The Tudors ran on Showtime from 2007 to 2010, created by Michael Hirst, and covers the reign of Henry VIII across four seasons — the wives, the break with Rome, and the machinery of a court where being out of favour is fatal. Its real subject is court politics: Cromwell, Wolsey and More are all playing a game where the rules change with the king mood, and almost nobody survives it.

Showtime ran it opposite the prestige cable boom, and it holds up as one of the network more successful original dramas. Michael Hirst went on to create Vikings, applying the same character-drama approach to a different era. This one is printed on a black unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 4XL.
