The Polar Express Rail Riders T-Shirt

This Rail Riders design comes from The Polar Express, the midnight train to the North Pole and the Christmas film that hinges entirely on whether you can still hear the bell. The Polar Express began as a 1985 picture book by Chris Van Allsburg — thirty-two pages, very little dialogue, and illustrations doing nearly all the work. It won the Caldecott Medal and became a fixture of Christmas reading lists before the film existed.

Tom Hanks performed five roles through motion capture — the conductor, the hobo, the boy's father, Santa Claus and the narrator — which is why so much of the film sounds faintly like the same person.
