This Be One of Us design comes from The Lost Boys, the 1987 film that made vampirism look like the best possible outcome for a bored teenager in a California beach town. Corey Haim and Jason Patric play the brothers, and Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander are the Frog brothers, comic book obsessives who have read enough horror to know exactly what is going on and are treated as idiots for it. The Lost Boys was released in 1987, directed by Joel Schumacher, and it is the film that rebuilt the vampire as something aspirational. Two brothers move to Santa Carla, California, and the older one falls in with a gang of extremely cool teenagers who turn out not to age.

The tagline is sleep all day, party all night, never grow old, never die — it is fun to be a vampire, and it is printed on more merchandise than any image from the film.
