Description
This The Chart design comes from The L Word, the Showtime drama that spent six seasons on a circle of friends in West Hollywood whose lives would not stop overlapping. Its cultural weight came less from the writing than from simple existence: for a lot of viewers in the mid 2000s it was the first time they had seen these lives treated as ordinary material for a prime-time drama. The L Word premiered on Showtime in 2004 and ran six seasons, created by Ilene Chaiken, Michele Abbott and Kathy Greenberg. It was the first American drama built entirely around a group of lesbian and bisexual women, and for most of its run it was the only one.
Jenny Schecter is the character the fandom argued about hardest for six seasons, which is why a shirt reading I Killed Jenny needs no further explanation to anyone who watched it. Shane McCutcheon, played by Katherine Moennig, was the breakout character, and looking very Shane today entered the vocabulary of the audience almost at once. This one is printed on a cream unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 3XL. Grab it for yourself or for the friend who still has opinions about Jenny.
