The Hobbit Thorins Key Youth/Toddler T-Shirt

This Thorins Key design comes from The Hobbit, Peter Jackson's return to Middle-earth, which turned a short children's book into three very long films. The dwarves are the merchandising engine and the reason this design set is so large: thirteen of them, each with a badge and a portrait, plus Bilbo and Gandalf. Whatever the films' reputation, the character design work is genuinely excellent. Martin Freeman plays Bilbo and is the best thing in it. Richard Armitage plays Thorin Oakenshield, Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf, and Andy Serkis comes back for the riddle scene in the dark, which is the sequence everyone agrees works.

They were shot at 48 frames per second instead of 24, a format that divided audiences and has barely been used since. Tauriel does not exist in the book.
