The Hobbit Kili Is My Hero Womens T-Shirt

This Kili Is My Hero design comes from The Hobbit, Peter Jackson's return to Middle-earth, which turned a short children's book into three very long films. The dwarves are the merchandising engine and the reason this design set is so large: thirteen of them, each with a badge and a portrait, plus Bilbo and Gandalf. Whatever the films' reputation, the character design work is genuinely excellent. It was shot at 48 frames per second rather than the standard 24, a format Jackson championed and audiences largely disliked — it made elaborate sets look like television. Very few films have used it since.

Tauriel does not exist in the book. She was created for the films and played by Evangeline Lilly. A book of about three hundred pages became roughly eight hours of film across three releases.
