The modern version was released in 1960 for the company's hundredth anniversary, rebuilt around a three-dimensional board with a spinner. Players drive a small plastic car and add peg people to it as they marry and have children.

The modern version launched in 1960 for the company's centenary. The Checkered Game of Life was created by Milton Bradley in 1860. This one is printed on a white youth t-shirt in sizes Youth S through Toddler 3T.
