The Conjuring Poster Pullover Hoodie

This Poster design comes from The Conjuring, the 2013 James Wan film that rebuilt the haunted house picture out of almost nothing but timing. The films are famously light on gore. Wan works with sustained quiet, off centre framing and long takes where nothing happens, and the scares are built on where the camera is looking rather than what it shows. It cost around twenty million dollars and took more than three hundred million worldwide. That ratio is the entire reason the modern horror boom happened the way it did, and it turned a modest period ghost story into the foundation of a franchise.

Ed and Lorraine Warren were real people, and Lorraine Warren served as a consultant on the film and has a brief cameo in the second one. James Wan had already made Saw and Insidious before this, and went on to direct Aquaman and Furious 7. This one is printed on a black unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 4XL.
